All our activities are governed by national government legislation and rules outlined by the Football Association, The FA Premier League and are monitored by Danetta Powell, Club Safeguarding Manager, who is currently tasked to ensure our compliance to all these requirements.
The Club Safeguarding Manager is available to discuss any part of the safeguarding procedures should anyone wish to do so.
Access to the complete safeguarding policy and procedures can be arranged at a suitable time in liaison with the Club Safeguarding Manager. In addition, Birmingham City Football Academy has developed specific codes of conduct to ensure all staff at the Club, and service users are aware of their responsibilities.

In light of publicity about sexual abuse in football, the FA, EFL and Premier League have agreed to support victims and raise awareness.
As a Club, Birmingham City FC is right behind this initiative.
The FA has commissioned a helpline in conjunction with the NSPCC for individuals who were victims of sexual abuse in childhood within the football industry. The number is 0800 023 2642.
