Group stage draw made for Premier League Cup

Blues have been drawn in Group G.


Richard Beale's Blues Under-23s side will take on Reading, Fulham and Colchester United in this season's Premier League Cup.

The PL Cup is an English football competition run by Premier League for Under–23s sides.

The group stage consists of eight four-team groups, with each side playing the others home and away. Dates of games will be confirmed in due course.

The top two from each group progress to the last 16.

The current holders of the trophy are Aston Villa who beat Swansea on penalties in last season's final.
