Teenage Blues midfielder Tommy Anderson has today penned his first professional contract with the Club.

The 18-year-old's one-year deal will run until 30 June 2019, with no additional options included on either side.

Anderson was born in London but moved to Birmingham at the age of seven and was signed up to Birmingham City's Academy programme.

The youngster has operated in numerous roles across midfield and up front for the Club but favours a left-wing position.

Last season saw him turn out regularly for Blues Under-23s, where he made 15 appearances. He also figured 18 times for the Under-18s, finding the back of the net six times for Steve Spooner's side.

He was also a key member of the Under-18s side that reached the semi-final stage of last season's FA Youth Cup.

Anderson will be looking to follow in the footballing footsteps of his uncle Freddy Eastwood and carve out a successful career in the professional game.
