Youngsters called up for international duty.


Four Blues youngsters have been called up for international duties over the next week.

Seventeen-year-old midfielder Ryan Stirk is in the 20-man Wales Under-18s squad.

The Welsh youngsters will play their Croatian counterparts in two friendly fixtures in Croatia on 20 and 22 March.

Meanwhile, Joe Redmond and Ryan Burke are both named in the Republic of Ireland Under-18s squad.

The Republic Under-18s will face Romania twice at Home Farm FC.

The first match is on 25 March and the second two days later on 27 March.

Elsewhere, striker Ronan Hale is in the Republic of Ireland Under-21s squad.

Ireland Under-21s take on Iceland in a friendly match on 22 March, before playing Azerbaijan on 27 March in a UEFA U21 European Championship qualifier.

Both fixtures will take place at the Tallaght Stadium.

Hale is currently at League of Ireland Premier Division side Derry City on an International Loan.
