We are thrilled to be entering into our third year of partnership with Maple from Canada

Birmingham City Women are proud to announce that Maple from Canada will remain as our principal partner for the 2019/20 season.

Maple from Canada, led by Québec Maple Syrup Producers (QMSP), is the reference brand for pure Canadian maple syrup – a healthier alternative to processed sugars and other sweeteners.

Over the past two seasons, the players have been introduced to maple products and learnt how to cook nutritional meals under the watchful eye of Maple from Canada’s UK chef ambassador David Colcombe.

The partnership aims to inspire young women to get active and educate them about the importance of nutrition in both sport and everyday life.

Mylène Denicolaï, Promotion Coordinator at Québec Maple Syrup Producers, said: “Maple syrup is a superb natural energy source making the product very appealing to athletes across the UK and Canada. Continuing our partnership with Birmingham City Women strengthens our international marketing and promotional efforts.

“Women’s football is growing rapidly and we’re delighted to be associated with the sport. The FIFA Women’s World Cup in France and record viewing UK figures have highlighted this and we’re excited for the new Barclays FA Women's Super League season.”

Ian Dutton, Chief Commercial Officer at Birmingham City Football Club, said:

“We are thrilled to be entering into our third year of partnership with Maple from Canada.

“The past two consecutive seasons of sponsorship have been fully embraced and thoroughly enjoyed by our women’s team, the club and its supporters. The upcoming 2019/20 season is, therefore, looking extremely optimistic. The continued support and commitment from Maple from Canada has been first class and their passion for professional women’s sport is clear.

“The women’s first team has been involved in many engaging and informative activations, including exclusive cooking sessions, which are helping to further the squad’s already built knowledge of the nutritional benefits that maple syrup can provide for professional athletes.”
