Blues Under-23s will play some of their PDL games at Leamington

Blues Under-23s will use Leamington's ground as the Club's alternative venue for the 2019/20 season.

Nine PDL fixtures will be played at the Phillips 66 Community Stadium, Harbury Lane.

Blues agreement with Solihull Moors came to an end last season and the National League side decided they did not want to continue with the arrangement in the interests of pitch protection.

So Blues have joined forces with National League North side Leamington, who today took goalkeeper Jake Weaver on a Season Loan.

Blues will play five PDL fixtures at the St. Andrew's Trillion Trophy Stadium - beginning with a clash against groundshare tenants Coventry City Under-23s on Friday, 13 September (1.30pm).

Other fixtures for Xavi Calm's side will be held at the Trillion Trophy Training Centre, Wast Hills.

Blues, who finished PDL North runners-up and lost the National Play-Off Final on penalties to Leeds United Under-23s last season, have their first league match at Crystal Palace's Selhurst Park on Monday, 12 August (1pm).

They open at home to Charlton Athletic at Leamington on Friday, 16 August (2pm).
