It's important we try and finish the season on a high note with the performance.

Garry Monk says he expects his players to maintain their high standards heading into Blues' final fixture of the 2018/19 Championship campaign against Reading.

Blues travel to the Madejski Stadium on Sunday looking to make it seven games unbeaten.

And whilst in league terms the game will have little impact, Monk wants one last performance from his players before they head off on their summer break..

"Going into the Wigan game we didn't get the result or the performance that we wanted, but that unbeaten tag is still there," he said.

"We want to finish this season off with a positive result and for the players to give everything they've got to make sure that happens.

"There’s a great attitude amongst them and I'm sure we'll see that on Sunday.

"Of course, it's great that we're not going into the last 90 minutes in a relegation battle and with something hanging over us, but in terms of the standards that have been set amongst group we want to try and make it a seven-game unbeaten run and try and win the game.

"It's important we try and finish the season on a high note with the performance."
