Blues currently sit in eighth spot in the Championship with 13 points from their seven Championship fixtures and they head into Saturday's home game against Preston on the back of consecutive wins.
"We're turning a little bit more into a team and we're taking the right steps on the pitch," said Clotet.
"We're getting better as we continue to play together and I'm very happy to be part of it and will continue to help and support them."
"They have confidence, but they're not over-confident or complacent," continued Clotet.
"Confidence plays a big part in it and I'm very happy that the players have managed to get a lot of points on the board while we are in this process of growing.
"The Club has made clear they want to evolve the way of playing and we are making sure that we are developing a methodology that can achieve that. But those things take a lot of time."
