Che Adams has signed for Southampton in a Club record transfer.

The Club accepted a significant offer for the striker, which remains undisclosed, taking into account various factors.

We part with Che on good terms and we sincerely thank him for his time here and wish him the very best for the future.

When offers came in for him in January and last summer he remained totally professional and worked hard for the Club - putting us first - and on improving his game regardless.

Adams made 123 appearances for Blues, scoring 38 goals.

Adams, who joined Blues from Sheffield United in August 2016, netted 22 times in 2018/19, his best ever seasonal return as a professional, resulting in him claiming the top honours at the Club's annual awards evening in May.

He became the first Blues player in 24 years to register 20 or more league goals and was named in the EFL Team of the Season and was a contender for Championship Player of the Season.

The Club will continue to work hard to identify new players to help strengthen the squad and also protect its interests.
