Pep Clotet says he expects to have Dan Crowley available for Saturday's match against Hull City at the KCOM Stadium.
The midfield play maker has been sidelined since limping off with a hamstring problem during the 3-2 away win at Reading earlier this month.
"Dan Crowley was training today for the first time, he looked very good in training so I think that's done for him," said Blues' Head Coach.
"He will train again tomorrow and is available for selection.
"Marc Roberts (ankle) I expect to start training after New Year - the same with Jake (Clarke-Salter, shoulder)."
The only other Blues player currently on the treatment table is midfielder Maikel Kieftenbeld (knee) who is continuing to make good progress and is expected to be back at some point early in the New Year.
