An option on her contract has been taken up, which has delighted Follis.
The forward therefore extends her time at Blues Women, after joining two years ago.
Follis said: “I’m delighted. I’m looking forward to pushing on next season and better what we did during the 2018/19 campaign.
“I think to finish fourth, pushing for third and going down to the last game, was really positive. But of course, we would have liked to have been pushing for a Champions League position because we were in contention for that at the start of the season.
“We punched above our weight really but we want to continue that going forward”
The 26-year-old progressed through the ranks at Aston Villa’s Centre of Excellence, spending 14 years at the club.
She spent the summer seasons plying her trade at Seattle Reign before joining Reading in 2015. Follis enjoyed a successful spell with the Royals, scoring 19 goals in 39 appearances over two seasons.
Follis returned to Birmingham ahead of the 2017 WSL Spring Series but her time was hampered by injury missing the entire campaign and the Club’s trip to Wembley in the SSE Women’s FA Cup.
However, in 2018/19 she established herself in the first team scoring her first goal for the Blues in the 3-1 defeat at Arsenal.
She went on to notch twice more, in consecutive games, against West Ham and Liverpool.
Manager Marta Tejedor spoke highly of the exciting forward.
“Emma Follis is an experienced player who gives us consistency and stability to the team,” Tejedor said.
“She plays in different attacking positions and has the determination that is needed to score. Her pace is a massive bonus for the team and is one of those players who can unbalance a match at any moment to swing it in our favour.”
