Reaction: Blues 1 Sheffield United 1

Overall, I think a point is probably a fair result, but we had the best chances in the game, apart from their goal.

Blues boss Garry Monk's thoughts after seeing his players put in a battling performance to earn a draw against the Blades...

Garry Monk asked about his team taking four points off two of the promotion contenders...
"This week so far, we've played Leeds and Sheffield United - two teams that are fighting it out for automatic promotion, and to take four points from these two games I think is a huge response. I thought it was a fantastic week, considering everything, coming off the back of five losses and coming into these two games against those two opponents is a huge credit to the players."

Asked if he thought a point was a fair result with the amount of good chances his side created...
"Overall, I think a point is probably a fair result, but we had the best chances in the game, apart from their goal. Possibly on another day we could maybe have taken the win. But we have shown a huge amount of resilience and character coming off a big, huge performance on Saturday - to then go a few days later and show it again was a hard-fought point for us - we dug in and it was more than a deserved point."

On getting a goal back so quickly after going behind...
"They have been fighting all season long, we have had a lot go against us off the pitch and on the pitch, we have tried to instil a mentality within the players.
For them to take it on board and for them not to feel sorry for themselves and to come out fighting after going behind, coming back four minutes later was a great response against a quality opponent."

On the focus for the remaining games of the campaign...
"Our focus has been to get as many points as possible, finish the season as strong as possible to get away from the situation we are in. These players don't deserve to be in the situation they are in from the way they have gone about it this season, but we are where we are, that's the reality and we have to do what we have to do. I think you can see what the attitude towards that has been from these last two games."

On how many points he thinks his side needs to be assured of safety...
"I don't know. I know a few results went for us tonight, Rotherham lost so that puts us an extra point away from it than when we started the game so that's good. The main part for us is regardless of what is needed we want to finish the season strong. That's what these players deserve to do but we know it's not going to be given to us, we have to earn that, and these five games are about trying to get as many points as possible. We have got the confidence and belief that we can do it, I think that's shown throughout the season even in this tough period we have had. The most important thing is No. 1 to get safe and No. 2 to make sure we finish strong in these five games."

On how his players felt in the dressing room after the game...
"Positive. The good thing is they want to win. As good a point as it is and hard fought and deserved that was, I think the mentality this season has been to win. That's been the big shift in mentality. So, whenever we've not won, or lost a game, there's been a huge desire to try and respond. That attitude has been typified the whole season, so credit to the players. We're happy with this week so far, but no one is getting above themselves and there's work to be done, so we need to be ready for that."
