Rebecca Holloway joins Blues Women

Holloway can play in a number of positions, including full-back, winger and central midfield.

Birmingham City Women are delighted to announce the signing of Rebecca Holloway.

The versatile 23-year-old joins Blues from Nashville Rhythm in the Women’s Premier Soccer League.

The Northern Ireland international previously played for Clevedon Town and has experience in the English top-flight, formerly plying her trade at Bristol City Academy under the guidance of ex-England Women boss Mark Sampson.

Holloway can play in a number of positions, including full-back, winger and central midfield.

She describes herself as “dominant with both feet in shooting, passing and controlling the ball” and has the “ability to read the game.”

The midfielder has been highly celebrated in the game, winning the Player of the Year MSC award twice in consecutive years in 2017 and 2018.

During the two campaigns, she scored a total of 33 goals and provided 22 assists.

Holloway has also represented Northern Ireland at Under 19s, making her debut against the Czech Republic, and the senior side.

She has been balancing her studies with football over in America for the past four years, and recently graduated from Cumberland University with a degree in Health and Human Performance.
