The game was cancelled at Swindon's request, due to circumstances beyond our controlBCFC
Pep Clotet’s side were due to take on the League Two outfit at the County Ground on Friday, 19 July.
However, due to circumstances beyond our control, the game will not take place at the designated venue.
The friendly will now be held at Blues' Trillion Trophy Training Centre on the same date (1pm).
However, due to logistics and safety issues, the fixture has to be played behind-closed-doors.
We apologise to our supporters for the inconvenience and those who have already purchased tickets will be refunded by contacting Blues Ticket Office on 0121 772 0101 ext 2.
Swindon requested the cancellation due to issues concerning their pitch.
In a statement, Swindon disclosed: "After complications with the irrigation system at the County Ground, the decision was made to give the pitch at the County Ground extra time to prepare for the coming season.
"Marcus Cassidy, groundsman for over 18 years, won Grounds Team of the Year in League Two for the pristine standard of the pitch throughout the 2018/19 campaign and this course of action was taken to ensure no detriment to the pitch later on in the season.
"We hope that supporters will understand that this decision was not taken lightly and was made with the longer-term vision of this season in mind."
Swindon, who are managed by former Leicester City midfielder Richie Wellens, finished 13th in their division last season.
The last time the two sides met in a competitive fixture was a Division One match in February 2000 at the County Ground, when Blues ran out 4-1 winners thanks to goals from Darren Purse, Isaiah Rankin, Dele Adebola and Martin Grainger.
