Blues will take on League Two side Swindon Town in a pre-season friendly ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

The match will be played at the Robins' 15,728 capacity County Ground Stadium on Friday, 19 July and kick-off at 7pm. Ticket prices will be confirmed in due course.

Swindon, who are managed by former Leicester City midfielder Richie Wellens, finished 13th in their division last season.

The last time the two sides met in a competitive fixture was a Division One match in February 2000 at the County Ground, when Blues ran out 4-1 winners thanks to goals from Darren Purse, Isaiah Rankin, Dele Adebola and Martin Grainger.

This is the third pre-season match that Blues have confirmed, following on from the announcement that the side will travel to League One outfit Bristol Rovers on Saturday, 20 July (1pm) and entertain Brighton & Hove Albion at the St. Andrew's Trillion Trophy Stadium on Saturday, 27 July (3pm).

Blues have opted for back-to-back friendlies with the trip to Bristol coming straight after Swindon and is therefore likely that the squad is split between the two fixtures.
