Welcome to our new Sister Clubs...

Being coached by a professional footballer and getting regular access to your football idols up close and personal at BCWFC games…it doesn’t get much better than that as a young aspiring footballer!

Kerys Harrop, Sister Club Programme Officer

Birmingham City Women would like to welcome eight new clubs and schools to the Sister Club programme this season.

The programme is in its fourth year and enables local grassroots clubs to partner with Birmingham City Women as a Sister Club and receive a variety of benefits including coaching sessions, signed merchandise, entry to the annual Sister Club tournament, and free tickets to Blues Women’s home matches.

In addition to club partnerships, schools who are partnered in the programme will also receive many great benefits such as school assemblies and relay races at Blues home games.

Sister Club Programme Officer, Kerys Harrop expressed her delight at welcoming eight new clubs.

“I am delighted with the response since advertising the programme.

“We have had a lot of interest from many grassroots clubs and schools and I’m looking forward to meeting the girls from our new Sister Clubs.

“I am also excited to visit our existing clubs and schools who have provided us with fantastic support over the last few years.

“The programme really is a fantastic initiative that provides great opportunities to young girls who play football.

“Being coached by a professional footballer and getting regular access to your football idols up close and personal at BCWFC games…it doesn’t get much better than that as a young aspiring footballer!

“I have some good new ideas for the programme this year, which not only the players, but also the coaches of our sister clubs, will benefit from greatly.”

If any girls grassroots clubs or school teams are interested in finding out more about the Sister Club programme for the 2020/21 season, then please contact Kerys Harrop at Kerys.Harrop@bcfc.com.
