Adhering to the EFL's Return to Training Protocols, groups of up to five players trained on separate areas maintaining social distancing where possible.
The first group to arrive were Darryl Flahavan's goalkeeper unit, consisting of Lee Camp, Connal Trumeman, Moha Ramos and Zach Jeacock.
Scott Hogan, Jeremie Bela - fit again after his hamstring injury - Maxime Colin, Maikel Kieftenbeld and Jude Bellingham followed; then came Wes Harding, Dan Crowley, Kerim Mrabti and Caolan Boyd-Munce.
Players brought their own training kit, drinks and activation equipment and were only allowed to train for 75 minutes maximum.
A one-way system was put in place at Wast Hills so when those players above exited straight to their cars, the next two groups of five could then enter the training ground and walk up to the pitches from the opposite side of the complex to maintain flow and minimise risk.
Lukas Jutkiewicz, Jack Concannon, Kristian Pedersen, Gary Gardner and Ivan Sunjic comprised the next group of five, followed by Harlee Dean, Marc Roberts, Jake Clarke-Salter, Geraldo Bajrami and Nico Gordon.
Craig Gardner led most of the technical drills along with Head Coach Pep Clotet in the blazing sunshine.
Under the Return to Training Protocols, the sessions were non-contact and requiring unopposed activities. Equipment and areas were disinfected after each group had finished their stint.
As morning turned into afternoon, the next groups came at their allotted time: Jayden Reid, Ryan Burke, Ryan Stirk and Kyle Hurst; Josh Dacres-Cogley, Charlie Lakin, Odin Bailey and Miguel Fernandez the final bunch to shake the cobwebs away.
