We are going home all feeling the same. We are not disappointed; we are not upset, but it leaves a bad taste in our mouths because we could’ve won this game.

Aitor Karanka’s thoughts after a goalless draw against Coventry City at St. Andrew's Trillion Trophy stadium…

His overall thoughts on the game…
"We are going home all feeling the same. We are not disappointed; we are not upset, but it leaves a bad taste in our mouths because we could’ve won this game. We missed two or three chances where Jukey is best, with his head. I am really pleased with his performance and the team because we haven’t conceded any goals, but we haven’t scored any. At least we have a point."

On Coventry’s change of shape…
"Everyone says that we are defensive, but against us they [Coventry City] changed their shape. It means that they respect us because If everyone thought we were defensive; they wouldn’t change their shape and they would be more attacking. We are at the beginning of the journey and we will keep on going because I can’t say anything bad about the players because they did their best."

On the number ten role…
"I was trying to encourage Riley to get on the ball more in the second half. He has only been with us for a few months and he is still learning and still improving. We have a number of players in that position; Riley - and then Jon Toral and Dan Crowley on the bench."

On his decision to only make one sub…
"I knew I had players on the bench who could impact the game, but with different players on the pitch, you know what you can win and what you can lose. It was the first game in two weeks, so there was no tiredness."

On the strength of his defence…
"I was a little concerned after Bournemouth because we had conceded five goals in two games, but now the main thing was to keep a clean sheet and then score goals, which we had chances to do. It is a good point against a team that their position doesn’t reflect how well they play."
