Blues return to home league action on Sunday, taking on Manchester United in what will also be Ward’s first home game in charge.
The Ireland International was quick to praise the new Head Coach and the way she has implemented her style from the get-go.
She said: “She doesn’t beat around the bush in what she wants and that makes it so much easier because everyone knows exactly what is expected of them.
“Carla is the right person to be at the helm because she is driving us as individuals and as a group.
“It was a difficult season for us last season, but this season I think we have a team that the fans will love.”
Given the current circumstances surrounding Coronavirus, fans are still yet to be allowed to return to stadiums, but Scott believes the Blues fans are amongst the best in the league.
She explained: “Every single game that they were able to attend last season, you could definitely feel their presence.
“If we have a good result, I feel like we are celebrating it with them because they are just as happy as we are.
“Our home ground is like a fortress and we want it to be the same this year, we want teams to be frightened to come and play here.”
Ahead of Sunday’s fixture with the Red Devils, Scott is aware of the threat that they will pose but is keen to build on the positives from last week’s defeat against Brighton.
She said: “They are a strong side with talented players all over the pitch so you can’t take anything for granted, we need to match them as best we can.
“Last week we came away a bit frustrated and annoyed.
“We noticed that we did so many good things and positive things to build on.
“The longer the season goes on, the more we will grow and the more you will see from us and that’s a really good position for us to be in.”
Blues v Manchester United on Sunday 13 September (2pm KO) is available on the FA Player.
