Blues defender Mitchell Roberts has joined Harrogate Town until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old links up with the League Two side for his first loan spell away from the Club, having turned professional in the summer of 2019.

A left-footed centre-half, Roberts joined Blues as a 10-year-old and after making his way through the academy system, has become a regular in Steve Spooner’s Under-23s side.

Comfortable on the ball and snappy in the tackle, the Hagley-born defender heads to Weatherby Road in a bid to sample First Team football.

The Sulphurites reached the Football League for the first time in their 86-year history when they beat Notts County at Wembley back in August.

Simon Weaver’s side currently sit seventeenth in the division having won 7 of their 20 games to date.

The Club would like to wish Mitchell the very best of luck as he takes the next step in his development.
